Strawberry-Watermelon Popsicles

Why not try to win that fight with this simple and refreshing treat. It doesn’t take much time or effort and the kids will love it. By using Non-GMO ingredients you can make a natural, delicious and healthy treat for the hot summer days.

 

Ingredients & necessary equipment:

3 cups fresh watermelon (cubed, and seeds removed)

1 ½ cups fresh strawberries (washed, and leaves/stems removed)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or sweetener of your choice – optional)

1-2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lime juice (or to taste)

3 oz Dixie cups and popsicle sticks, or popsicle molds of your choice

Blender or food processor

Directions

Step 1: Place cubed, seeded watermelon into blender or food processor. Blend well. Use a mesh strainer to remove watermelon juice. Place watermelon in a bowl.

Step 2: Place clean, de-stemmed strawberries into blender or food processor. Blend well. Add blended strawberries to the bowl with the watermelon.

Step 3: Add sugar (or sweetener of your choice), and lime juice. Mix well.

Step 4: Pour mixture into Dixie cups with popsicle sticks, or popsicle molds.

Step 5: Freeze well (3-5 hours, depending on your freezer).

Step 6: Serve & enjoy!

Recipe makes 6-8 popsicles.

Substitute for other fruits if you like.
